Membership Committee
- Provide leadership in the development and review of member recruitment and servicing plans
- Evaluate and identify potential new members or markets
- Assist in providing leads to staff
- Recommend marketing activities
- Monitor member satisfaction
- Evaluate membership model and recommend adjustments
- Assist in the enhancement of members' benefits package
- Conduct new members orientation session at the Annual
Marketing & Communications Committee
- Provide leadership in the development and review of Marketing & Communications plans
- Review and recommend Congress format, content, speakers and other programming options
- Assist in the development and review of the Congress Sponsorship Strategy
- Provide qualified sponsor leads to staff
- Identify and facilitate business development opportunities
- Review and recommend adjustments & enhancements to the functionality of the website
- Provide input into the content and direction of the newsletter
Research
- Provide leadership in the development and review of research plans
- Assist in the identification of research partners
- Recommend sources for industry data & research
- Identify and recommend areas requiring further investigation
- Recommend distribution channels for research results & data
Training & Education
- Provide leadership in the development of Training & Education plans
- Recommend educational content for regional workshops and the annual Congress
- Develop and circulate a bi-annual needs assessment survey for CSTA members
- Recommend direction for training/education or certification programs through educational institutions or the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council.
Government Relations
- Provide leadership in the development of the Government Relations plan
- Assist in the identification of key elected and public officials at the federal and provincial levels
- Assist in development and maintenance of relationships with key government officials and agencies.
