A respected sports executive, with an extensive background in Canadian and international sport, Rick has led the CSTA since its inception. As CEO, he is responsible for the overall management of the association, and works with the Board of Directors to develop and implement CSTA’s strategic plan. He leads the government relations and international relations portfolios, ensuring Canada remains at the forefront as a bidding and hosting nation. He is also is intricately involved in planning the program for the Sport Events Congress, providing professional development and networking opportunities for  destinations, suppliers and sport organizations.

Christine brings her financial acumen and years of not-for-profit experience to her role as CSTA’s Chief Financial Officer. Her responsibilities encompass all areas of finance including the creation of financial statements for the Board of Directors, liaising with partners, members, government and event delegates as well as financial governance.

Since 2003 Krista has brought her background in events, marketing and sponsorship to her role as CSTA’s Executive Director, Marketing & Events. Her responsibilities include overall event management and planning of CSTA’s flagship event, Sport Events Congress, management of CSTA’s sponsorship programs, coordination of CSTA’s webinar series and CSTA’s Consulting Services program and all marketing programs and activities of the organization. Krista is also a member of CSTA’s group of expert consultants and is available for sport tourism consulting projects related to event bidding and hosting, marketing, RFPs, sponsorship and venue selections.

Barb brings her experience in international sport and business to her role as CSTA’s Communications Consultant. She has handled media relations and/or media operations for 14 different sports at the international level. Her responsibilities with the CSTA include internal and external communications strategies, overseeing social media, and media relations. Barb assists with Sport Events Congress and PRESTIGE Awards and is the contact person for coordination of Member Profiles on the CSTA website, as well as media inquiries.

With over ten years of experience working in national sport, Steven’s expertise and skills include event management, strategic and government relations, website and content management systems, education and policy. His responsibilities include membership services, content management and website services, and business development projects. With a background in both sport and event management, Kelly plays a key role in planning and executing CSTA’s premier annual event, Sport Events Congress. She is responsible for SEC registration, Sport Events Exchange, volunteer management, and the hospitality events. She also oversees the nominations process for the CSTA’s PRESTIGE Awards, honouring the best events, volunteers, organizations and sponsors in sport tourism in Canada.

For over 30 years Eric has been involved in international event organization from initial concepts to final reporting of a successful event. His resume includes more than 50 international single sport events / bids and 15 multi-sports organising / bidding committees. As Director, Transfer of Knowledge for the CSTA, he develops management tools for event organizers and host committees to seek out, bid, host and execute outstanding sport events. He is also available to consult on event planning and management as one of the CSTA’s group of expert consultants.

A graduate of the Sport Management program at Western University, Zanth Jarvis works in Sport Tourism everyday with his role at Tourism London. His experience with the CSTA and economic impact studies dates back to the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships hosted in London. Since then, he’s managed all aspects of surveying for a number of events including the 2015 Toronto Pan Am and Parapan Am Games.
