Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance and Techneos Systems ink deal

Vancouver, BC and Ottawa, ON, January 7, 2004 - Techneos Systems Inc., a Vancouver-based supplier of world-class mobile data collection solutions, and the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA), which manages the growth of Canada's fastest growing tourism segment, announced today that they have reached an agreement to use the Entryware Professional software to facilitate the collection of primary data on-site at selected sport events in Canada over the next 12 months.

The CSTA conducts economic impact assessments of sport events in conjunction with a variety of municipal, provincial and federal sport and tourism partners. "A cooperative relationship with Techneos represents a terrific strategic fit for us", said Rick Traer, CSTA CEO. "After much research, we came to the conclusion that Entryware Professional was the most complete, versatile, and easy way to collect mobile data. The technology will enable us to conduct our economic impact assessments in a much more cost effective and timely manner."

"We are very excited to showcase Entryware at some of the premiere sporting events in Canada," said Mark Cameron, President of Techneos Systems. "We see tremendous opportunity for mobile data collection at sporting events, and our alliance with CSTA provides us with a high level of exposure within this growing market."

Entryware Professional integrates powerful PC-based survey design software with an easy-to-use mobile component that runs on any Palm Powered® handheld device, enabling corporations and research firms to extend data collection projects out into the field. The software greatly enhances the speed and integrity of data collected and reduces the business costs normally associated with pen and paper methods.

The software is projected to be used at the 2004 Nokia Brier (Saskatoon), the 2004 Tennis Masters Canada (Toronto), the 2004 Grey Cup Game (Ottawa) and the 2004 Canadian Grand Prix (Montreal), in addition to several other sport events across Canada.
