IIHF Women’s World Hockey Championships – Scotiabank Place, Tuesday, April 9th

The top eight women’s hockey teams from around the world are coming to the nation’s capital and we will be there to cheer on Team Canada!  If you have RSVP’d for a ticket to the hockey game when you registered for Sport Events Congress you will enjoy exceptional hockey in a lively and social atmosphere at Scotiabank Place. 

Two buses depart the Westin Hotel at 3 pm for those who wish to catch the bronze medal game in the 200 level at Scotiabank Place.  The puck drops at 3:30 pm and Scotiabank Place will remain open between the bronze medal game and gold medal game (your ticket includes both the bronze medal game and the gold medal game later that same day).

Three additional buses will depart the Westin at 5:45 pm for the 7:30 pm start of the gold medal game for those that wish to only attend the gold medal match.  Did you know that Team Canada has never NOT qualified for the gold medal game at the Worlds?!  We are almost guaranteed to be cheering on Team Canada on Tuesday night!  Your ticket includes access to the Ledge Carvery & Bar where our Congress hockey fans will enjoy some refreshments in the comfort of a lounge-style setting while watching the on ice hockey action.

Buses will return everyone to the Westin Hotel immediately following the conclusion of the gold medal game.

Don’t forget to wear Team Canada colours or your fav team jersey!  Make sure you have your game ticket and Congress name tag with you before you board the bus to Scotiabank Place.  Both will be available for pick-up at the Congress registration desk at the Westin Hotel when you arrive for the Congress.
