We’re famous for our evening hospitality events!  Here’s a look at what is planned for SEC18:

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

Alexander Keith’s Brewery Tour & Social | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm | 1496 Lower Water Street

“Ciad Mille Failte” (or “One Hundred Thousand Welcomes”) to one of the oldest breweries in North America. You’ll be escorted ‘back in time’ by citizens of Halifax in the year 1863. Learn how Mr. Keith makes his great beer and then sample one or two ales and snacks at the “Stag’s Head”, the historic pub in what used to be the aging cavern of Mr. Keith’s Brewery. Listen to captivating stories while enjoying live music from some of Halifax’s most talented young local musicians. This is an award winning year-round “Celebration of Nova Scotia Good Times”!

Transportation: Bus departures from the Prince George Hotel at 5:30 pm, 5:45 pm and 6 pm. Return is at 8:15 pm and 8:30 pm

DYK that flamingos flock in groups of up to several hundred? Just like SEC delegates! Flamingos are the 'it' motif, so come mix and mingle at our flamingo-themed party complete with pink bevvies, DJ and prizes to be won!

U SPORTS Men’s Final 8 Basketball | 5:30 pm onwards | Scotiabank Centre, 1800 Argyle St

Join Halifax for pre-game warm-up – snacks & bevvies. Then, it’s a basketball doubleheader at Scotiabank Centre with Game 1 tip-off at 6 pm and a start time for Game 2 of 8 pm. After the game, check out one of the local bars in the downtown core and experience east coast hospitality at its finest!
